Fantastic Roads | Friday 17th September 2021 | Saturday 25th September 2021 |
Started in the 1920’s and only recently completed, the Alpine Road takes us on a scenic tour through the beautiful Bavarian Alps. As you would expect in Germany the roads are wide and generous with the occasional hairpin thrown in. Long straights, flowing bends and moderate climbs make this a truly great driving road.
A complete contrast to some of the more traditional Alpine passes with their steep climbs, multiple hairpins and narrow tunnels. Starting at Lindau and heading east some 280 miles of Alpine road ends in Berchtesgaden. Passing beautiful crystal clear lakes, fairy tale castles and picturesque villages this really is a relaxing and wonderful week of fine food, wonderful hotels and fantastic roads.
