With 100 days until doors open at Europe's biggest motorsport show, ex-F1 pilot and Sky Sports F1 presenter Martin Brundle has joined the guest list for Autosport International 2014, to be held at Birmingham's NEC in January.
As part of a successful career in motorsport, Brundle spent 12 seasons at the pinnacle of the sport, Formula One, with teams such as Tyrrell, Zakspeed, Brabham, Benetton, Ligier and McLaren, and claimed victory in sports car racing's demanding Le Mans 24 Hours in 1990 with Jaguar.
In 1997, he moved from the F1 grid to the commentary box alongside Murray Walker and, now working with Sky Sports F1, has become one of the world's most authoritative and popular sports broadcasters.
On 11-12 January, Brundle will share his views on the world of Formula One, including the 2013 season and the radical new technical regulations that are set to shape 2014. Spanning four decades, Brundle's life in motorsport is documented in the recently-released Martin Brundle Scrapbook, which he'll be signing at the show.
“Autosport International is really at the heart of what's great about British motorsport, covering every level of the sport, from karting to Formula One,†Brundle said.
“It's always a great way to start the new motorsport season and catch up with everyone, and there'll be plenty to talk about as we look ahead to the introduction of the new F1 season.â€
With more stars to be announced in the coming months, Brundle joins fellow British hero John Surtees, the only man to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels, as a motorsport legend at Autosport International 2014.
“As the countdown until Autosport International 2014 hits double figures, we're thrilled to announce Martin Brundle as a guest,†said Ian France, Autosport International Show Director.
“Martin offers unmatched insight into the world of Formula One and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to hearing not only about his life in motorsport, but also his predictions for the 2014 F1 season.â€
Taking place on 9-12 January, Autosport International will host the best of motorsport, with stars such as Surtees and Brundle joined by machinery spanning Formula One, touring car racing and rallying, high-octane thrills in the 5,000-seat Live Action Arena and a variety of interactive elements.
Tickets are now on sale, with adult entry priced from £31 and children's tickets from £20. For more information about the show, visit www.autosportinternational.com.
