The new Toro Rosso STR11 has hit the track for the first time in an all-blue interim livery at the first pre-season test this morning.
The STR11 was finished too late to receive the full Toro Rosso paint treatment and instead hit the track in a plain dark blue livery without an official launch. Carlos Sainz was behind the wheel for the first day of testing and soon completed a handful of installation laps.
The build of the car was delayed by Toro Rosso's late switch from Renault engines to year-old Ferrari power units over the winter, which required a complete redesign at the rear of the car.
The full livery and an official launch is expected to follow at the second test at the same circuit.
