Large Temporary Hall in Front of the Grugahalle Creates Additional Area
In Total, 7,000 Square Metres More for Oldtimers
April 6, 2016: Preview, Happy View Day
More exhibition area for the number one amongst the international oldtimer fairs: Techno-Classica Essen will extend to the Grugahalle. In addition, a temporary hall in front of the Grugahalle will offer an increase in area. All in all, the total area of Techno-Classica will grow by around 7,000 square metres. That will correspond to a six-percent increase.
With more than 1,250 exhibitors from over 30 nations and over 2,500 classic automobiles in the range on offer, Techno-Classica will now occupy an exhibition area of 127,000 square metres in the 21 halls and on the outdoor sites at Messe Essen right into every last corner. This year, the organiser S.I.H.A. will give far more suppliers the possibility of presenting themselves with fair and sales booths.
The utilisation of the Grugahalle as the Classic Arena and a connected temporary hall will provide the Techno-Classica organiser with the possibility of accommodating not only numerous exhibitor booths but also the large Coys auction there.
In the Grugahalle Classic Arena covering 2,875 square metres, it will be possible to admire the around 80 classic vehicles offered at the Coys auction throughout the duration of the fair and to purchase them by auction on April 9, 2016. And on the over 2,600 square metres in the Gruga Foyer, further suppliers of classic automobiles will find a large area in order to present themselves and their available ranges.
Additional space will be gained using a temporary hall which will cover an exhibition area of 1,700 square metres and will be docked directly on to the Grugahalle. Due to an ingenious air conditioning system, the annexe will offer the same comfort as the other fair halls. The Grugahalle will have several direct access points from the fair halls – via the fair bridge and corresponding lock-type entrances. Moreover, it will be possible to reach the Classic Arena from the outside via its own entrance with a ticket office.
With over 200 classic vehicle club booths, around 25 presentations made by car manufacturers and 190,000 expected visitors, the 28th Techno-Classica Essen will once again set standards as the number one amongst the international oldtimer and connoisseurs’ vehicle fairs this year, too. Constantly fresh ideas, a lot of surprises, new attractions and careful precision work – also on detail improvements: That is the recipe for success of Techno-Classica Essen which makes it the largest and most renowned classic vehicle fair in the world.
The global classic vehicle fair which S.I.H.A. has organised since 1989 offers more superlatives than all the other exhibitions for classic vehicle fans – every spring, it brings new surprises again and, also on the occasion of its 28th edition, will once more raise the quality and diversity of the available range.
