This morning saw Renault e.Dams driver Sebastien Buemi topping the timesheets in the opening practice session ahead of the Paris ePrix ahead of Jose Maria Lopez and Jean-Eric Vergne.
During the session, Jose Maria Lopez recovered well from a trip into the Turn 1 wall early in the session. A number of drivers were caught out by the tricky opening corner, with multiple yellow flags needed throughout the session for those drivers pushing the limits a little too far.
Buemi was the quickest man on the track with a lap time of 1.01.998s and was the only man to set a 200kW lap in the session. Buemi finished ahead of Jose Maria Lopez was an impressive second, 0.717 seconds adrift of the championship leader on his 170kW lap.
Jean-Eric Vergne completed the top three for Techeetah ahead of Lucas di Grassi, Felix Rosenqvist and Sam Bird, who's progress was briefly halted when his DS Virgin car ground to a halt with mechanical issues.
On his return to the series, Mike Conway was seventh quickest, over half a second ahead of his Dragon Racing team-mate Jerome d'Ambrosio who ended the session down in 15th.
2014/2015 Formula E champion Nelson Piquet Jr continued to show impressive one-lap pace with the eighth fastest time ahead of veteran Nick Heidfeld and Renault e.dams' Nico Prost, who rounded out the top 10.
Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans was 11th ahead of fellow ex-GP2 race winner Robin Frijns.
Venturi's Tom Dillmann, who is standing in for Maro Engel, was 17th quickest ahead of Mexican Esteban Gutierrez and team-mate Stephane Sarrazin.
