Rocking and Racing at Silverstone Classic

The Silverstone Classic is set to provide a great weekend of entertainment with something for all of the family.

Sponsored bythe AA, BMW, Piper-Heidsieck, Aston Martin, Chopard and Gibson at the home of Grand Prix racing, Silverstone Classic is the Worlds Biggest Classic Motorsport Festival

As well as several Tribute acts including the great Floyd Reloaded, Boot Led Zepplin, and the Ultimate Eagles, The Hollies will top the bill on Saturday.

This years Larger Motorfair will showcase both Heritage and modern cars, from amongst others Aston Martin, BMW and Morgan, and the Shopping Village has also been extended to give a greater variety of stalls. The village green and funfair will be on hand to entertain younger fans.

Several car clubs will again be present, with Aston celebrating their Centenery, Porsche 50 years of the 911, Lamborghini Celebrating 50 years, and Corvette 60 years, with several on track parades planned.

The 40 meter high BMW Eye will give superb views over the whole event, and there will be helicopter and 4×4 rides as well as Hot Air Balloon rides (weather permitting). A flypast by Spitfire and Hurricane is planned along with a Parachute display by The Red Devils

The main entertainment will of course once again be provided by the racing including strong entries from

Classic Touring Cars, Historic Formula 1, Le Mans Cars, Formula 5000 v Formula 2, HGPCA races, Formula Junior, Formula Ford, World Sportscar masters, Touring cars and Pre 61 Sports cars.

In total 24 races over the weekend, and over 1000 competitors.
