It was announced this afternoon that Robin Frijns will continue with MS Amlin Andretti for another season the team have announced ahead of the London ePrix this weekend.

Frijns showed great enthusiasm and some great performance during the Season two championship, leading the team to an easy decision of re-signing the Netherlands driber for 2016/2017.

Since joining the team, Frijns has been a full-time driver for the Formula E program and competed in all ten rounds of Season two.Frijns set a rookie first by finishing in the top 10 for his first five races.

In an interview with the media this afternoon, Frijns was happy to announce his decision and is looking forward to developing the season three car for next season. Frijns stated the following:-

“I'm a loyal person if I feel comfortable and happy where I am at,” Frijns said. “I stayed with the same karting team for ten years. I enjoy all the people I work with at Andretti, and I am comfortable with the team, so why change.”

“With Season 3 coming, you never know where you're team is going to be compared to other teams. I guess we'll find out in qualifying at Hong Kong. But I think if you enjoy the people you work with that's most important.”

Frijns will play a role in the continued testing and development of the Season 3 car. Further on in his interview with the media this afternoon, Frijns is clear in what he wants to achieve with the Andretti team next season. Frijns added the following:-

“The goal is always to win races,” Frijns said. “Andretti has yet to win our first race in Formula E so I would like to see that happen. I want to be competitive and fighting for podiums every race.”

In his own statement to the media this afternoon, Team Owner Michael Andretti is proud that he has resigned a driver of Frijns calibre for next season. Andretti added the following:-
“Robin showed great consistency and talent during his time with us this last season,”
