Red Bull has confirmed it will launch its 2017 car, the RB13, on February 26, the day before winter testing begins at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya.
Red Bull’s unveiling will follow a week of launches including Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault and McLaren. This year’s extensive regulation changes, which place greater emphasis on aerodynamics, have led to speculation Red Bull could return to the front of the field after scoring just five wins in the three years of the V6 turbo era.
The team confirmed it will launch on Sunday, 24 hours before testing begins, though it did not go into greater details about the event or drop many hints about what the car will look like — with the tweet featuring the colours white and red.
Last year, Red Bull unveiled a livery change — adopting a new matte finish paint-job, a slight departure from its traditional style, though it retained its usual colours.
Red Bull’s launch takes place on the same day as junior team Toro Rosso.
