Nico Rosberg remains quickest ahead of his team mate in FP3 at Mexico

In the final practice session in Mexico today, Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg topped the timesheets ahead of his team mate Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo in a session where two tenths covered the top four and a less than a second makes up the top ten finishers.

During FP3, we saw Daniil Kvyat having had a spin at Turn 6. We also saw Kimi Raikkonen had a disappointing session and peeled off the circuit with smoke pouring from the rear of his Ferrari having managed just four laps and Jenson Button struggling once again as he reported vibrations from the engine at low revs and spent most of the session in the garage.

But it was Nico Rosberg who topped the timesheets with a lap time of 1.21.083 ahead of his team mate Lewis Hamilton in second place who was 0.014 seconds behind him but was ahead of his team mate Daniel Ricciardo who finished in third place who was 0.118 seconds behind the Mercedes of Rosberg.

Sebastian Vettel finished the session in fourth place ahead of Daniil Kvyat in fifth place, local driver Sergio Perez in sixth place and Valtteri Bottas in seventh place. Carlos Sainz Jr ended the session in eighth place ahead of Felipe Massa in ninth place and Nico Hulkenberg who rounds off the top ten finishers.

Max Verstappen ended the session in eleventh place ahead of Pastor Maldonado in twelfth place, Romain Grosjean in thirteenth place, Marcus Ericsson in fourteenth place and ahead of Fernando Alonso in fifteenth place. As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Felipe Nasr finished in sixteenth place ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in seventeenth place, Will Stevens in eighteenth place, Alexander Rossi in nineteenth place and Jenson Button who rounded off the grid in twentieth place.
