Nico Rosberg leads the way by being quickest in FP3 in Malaysia

This morning in Malaysia, Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets after suffering with an engine inlet problem in Practice 1 to finish ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and his team mate Nico Rosberg.

Before the start of Practice 3, it was announced that Jenson Button has had to change his engine as a result of checks that were made by Honda at the end of the second practice session yesterday.

During the session, we saw Kimi Raikkonen suffering a right rear puncture that cost him valuable running time on the circuit. We also saw Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Felipe Massa and Daniil Kvyat lock up their tyres during the session but they were all able to continue. Roberto Merhi spun at Turn 9 but was able to continue running in the session.
But it was Nico Rosberg that topped the timesheets with a 1.39.690 ahead of his team mate Lewis Hamilton who finished the session in second place 0.184 seconds behind but ahead of Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen in third place.

Sebastian Vettel finished in fourth place ahead of Felipe Massa in fifth place, Valtteri Bottas in sixth place and Daniel Ricciardo in seventh place. Carlos Sainz Jr ended the session in eighth place ahead of his team mate Max Verstappen in ninth place and Marcus Ericsson in tenth place.

Romain Grosjean ended the session in eleventh place ahead of his team mate Pastor Maldonado in twelfth place, Daniil Kvyat in thirteenth place and Nico Hulkenberg who finished the session in fourteenth place.

As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Fernando Alonso ended the session in fifteenth place ahead of Sergio Perez in sixteenth place who was ahead of Felipe Nasr in seventeenth place, Jenson Button in eighteenth place and the two Manor F1 drivers of Roberto Merhi and Will Stevens who ended the session in nineteenth places and twentieth place.
