Nico Rosberg claims Pole Position for the Belgian GP

In qualifying for the Belgian GP on Saturday, Nico Rosberg claimed Pole Position ahead of Max Verstappen and Kimi Raikkonen which saw Verstappen breaking another record in his short career in the sport.

But it was Nico Rosberg who claimed his third Pole Position at the event with a lap time of 1:48.085 ahead of his team mate Max Verstappen in second place who was 0.149 seconds behind him. Verstappen's front row appearance will be the first of his career and he will break another record to become the youngest driver to start a race on the front row at 18 years, 10 months and 30 days old.

But Verstappen was ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in third place who was 0.166 seconds behind Rosberg. Sebastian Vettel finished the session in fourth place ahead of in Daniel Ricciardo in fifth place, Sergio Perez in sixth place, Nico Hulkenberg in seventh place, Valtteri Bottas in eighth place, Jenson Button in ninth place and Felipe Massa who rounded off the top ten finishers.

Romain Grosjean ended the session in eleventh place ahead of Kevin Magnussen in twelfth place, Esteban Gutierrez in thirteenth place, Jolyon Palmer in fourteenth place and Pascal Wehrlein in fifteenth place.

As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Valtteri Bottas ended the session in sixteenth place ahead of Felipe Massa in seventeenth place, Carlos Sainz Jr in eighteenth place, Kevin Magnussen in nineteenth place, Jolyon Palmer in twentieth place, Esteban Ocon in twenty-first place and Felipe Nasr in twenty-second place.
