Mahindra Racing successfully tests their season four car

The Mahindra Racing Formula E team have successfully completed a productive first test of their season four car in Spain on Tuesday.

The team's Season 4 challenger, the M4Electro managed to complete 90 laps in total which is equivalent of two race distances, with a single longest run of eight laps. The car was driven by both Mahindra Racing driversNick Heidfeld and Felix Rosenqvist.

In a statement to the media on Tuesday, Mahindra Racing Team Principal Dilbagh Gill understands that there will be another steep learning curve to master for season four, but is positive the Indian team can come out on top and have another competitive season.

“With a steep learning curve before the start of the fourth Formula E Season, the Mahindra passioneers are looking forward to the challenge of developing the M4Electro alongside the energetic M3Electro, which has already made her presence felt in the class of Season 3,” said Gill.

Mahindra has enjoyed a strong start to this season, with one pole position, two podiums, and two fastest laps out of just three races. Mahindra Racing is the first Formula E team to publicly reveal its Season 4 car, with an official launch expected in the coming months.

It is also believed that other teams such as Audi Sport ABT and Renault e.Dams have already started to test their season four car in preparation for next season.
