Lewis Hamilton takes his first Pole Position at Bahrain and his fourth of the 2015 season

Yesterday afternoon in Bahrain, Lewis Hamilton took his fourth Pole Position and his first Pole at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain ahead of Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel and his team mate Nico Rosberg.

During Q1, Jenson Button yet again had more bad luck and stopped on the track with suspected engine problems and sadly this ended his participation in the qualifying session yesterday.

But it was Lewis Hamilton that took Pole Position with a lap time of a 1.37.571 ahead of Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel who finished the session in second place 0.411 seconds behind him but ahead of Hamilton's team mate Nico Rosberg in third place who was 0.558 seconds off Hamilton's pace.

Kimi Raikkonen finished the session in fourth place ahead of the Williams drivers of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa who finished in fifth and sixth places ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who finished in seventh place. Nico Hulkenberg got his first and Force India's Q3 finish of the season by ending the session in eighth place ahead of the Toro Rosso of Carlos Sainz Jr in ninth place and Romain Grosjean in tenth place.

Sergio Perez ended the session in eleventh place ahead of Felipe Nasr in twelfth place who was ahead of his team mate Marcus Ericsson in thirteenth place and Fernando Alonso who finished the session in fourteenth place for the McLaren team.

As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Max Verstappen ended the session in fifteenth place ahead of Pastor Maldonado who had engine problems in the session ended the session in sixteenth place ahead of Daniil Kvyat in seventeenth place who has struggled all weekend. But he was ahead of the Manor F1 drivers of Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi in eighteenth place and nineteenth places. Jenson Button did not get a time in the session.
