FIVE MUST-SEE CARS AT THE PERFORMANCE CAR SHOW

However, there are five top cars that every performance fan should see at the show.

Attended by almost 80,000 in 2013, the Performance Car Show, which sits alongside Europe's largest motorsport show Autosport International, will host supercars and high-performance cars from the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi and Jaguar as well as showcase the UK's thriving sports car scene, making it the perfect January retreat for performance car aficionados.

Sin R1
See the new Anglo-German supercar set to enter production in 2014, the Sin R1. This 500bhp Chevrolet V8-powered model weighs in at 1,200kg, allowing it to hit a top speed of 200mph, and will be available for just £60,000.

The idea for the Sin R1 originated between companies Pro Formance Metals and Sin Car GmbH at Autosport International. A race version of the car debuted in 2013 and, following strong interest, the road-going version was developed. Featuring 19-inch wheels, 362mm disc brakes and a Formula One-style fuel tank, the Sin R1 allows high-performance fans to take to the road or track in this supercar.

Caterham AeroSeven Concept
The next generation in Caterham Cars, the AeroSeven Concept will also be featured. Combining skills and expertise from across the entire Caterham group, including the Caterham F1 Team, the race-inspired car accelerates to 62mph in less than four seconds and features a 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine delivering 237bhp under its carbon fibre body.

The first ever Caterham to be fitted with traction control, it also features aerodynamic styling, an exclusive Formula One-style steering wheel with driver-focused functionality and a fully active Graphic Display Unit (GDU). In production from Autumn 2014, its stunning looks hint at the styling direction Caterham will be taking with its future models.

McLaren 12C GT Sprint
Also taking inspiration from its racing counterpart is the McLaren 12C GT Sprint. Appearing on the stand of motoring magazine Autocar, the £195,000 model has been designed and developed by McLaren's GT racing division to bridge the gap between the standard 12C and the 12C GT3 race car. Boasting a 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine that delivers 616bhp, the McLaren 12C GT Sprint, which will be produced in an initial batch of 20 units, also features an FIA-approved roll cage, carbon ceramic brakes, composite racing seat and six-point harness with HANS device attachment.

Renault Twizy F1 concept
One of the more unusual looking cars to be shown at the Performance Car Show is the Renault Twizy F1 concept car. Resulting from a collaboration between Renaultsport and Renaultsport F1 engineers, the Renault Twizy F1 combines Formula One technology with Renault's urban, compact two-seat electric vehicle. At just 2.337m long and 1.191m wide, the concept car features a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) to reuse energy lost during braking, the same system as that used in F1 cars. The car has a top speed of 68mph with a power-to-weight ratio of 1bhp per 5.8kg, and when the KERS system is fully charged on this 546kg car it has a surprising 97bhp!

Infiniti Red Bull Racing RB9
Rounding out the top five cars is the Infiniti Red Bull Racing RB9. Adrian Newey's latest masterpiece, it's helped Sebastian Vettel claim his fourth FIA Formula One World Championship in succession having propelled the German driver to 13 victories during the 2013 season.

The phenomenal race car will be displayed on the F1 Racing Grid within Autosport International, which features iconic race cars and stars from the world of motorsport, including F1 World Champion John Surtees, Sky Sport F1's Martin Brundle and current racer Adrian Sutil.

A selection of top road-going models will also be on display at the show's 5,000-seat Live Action Arena, including the Porsche 911 GT3, Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and Jaguar F-TYPE V6S. The indoor arena will also showcase a variety of stunts and wheel-to-wheel racing action ahead of the 2014 motorsport season.

Adult tickets are now available from £31 and children's tickets from £20, providing access to both the Performance Car Show and Autosport International. For more information about the show visit www.performancecarshow.com or call 0800 581 1419.
