The route for the 2016 MSA Spring Classic was announced this week, offering a fabulous weekend of non-competitive motoring over the weekend of 23-24 April, based at the luxurious Celtic Manor Resort hotel.
Organised by International Motor Sports Limited (IMS), this year's scenic tour for classic cars more than 20 years old will coincide with the annual celebration of classic motoring known as 'Drive It Day'. Last year's Spring Classic was a complete sell-out and, with limited places available, the 2016 edition is proving to be just as popular.
Setting out from the beautiful Usk Valley, drivers will enjoy two wonderful days of traffic-free motoring through the beautiful counties of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
Saturday's schedule includes a visit to Westons Cider Farm near Ledbury en route to a fine lunch stop at the 15th Century Hampton Court Castle and its award-winning gardens.
The afternoon stop at the Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club has its own special place in history. This was the ancestral home of the Rolls family for more than two centuries and it is where Charles Stewart Rolls spent many of his formative years before he joined forces with Henry Royce in 1904 to found the world's most prestigious car company.
After a sumptuous Gala Dinner at the Celtic Manor on Saturday evening, Sunday's itinerary heads east to the Cotswold Motoring Museum in picturesque Bourton-on-the-Water. A lunch stop at the Sudbury House Hotel and Restaurant is the prelude to the weekend's exciting climax as the cars and drivers enjoy laps around Castle Combe race circuit. It all adds up to two days of memorable classic motoring.
Entries opened earlier this week and more than half of the 100 available places were reserved within 48 hours. With such high levels of interest, those wishing to be part of 2016 MSA Spring Classic should book now via the official www.msaclassics.co.uk website.
