28th Techno-Classica Essen vom April 6 to 10, 2016
(April 6, 2016: Happy View Day)

A “full house” is being reported by S.I.H.A., the organiser of Techno-Classica Essen 2016. The World Show for Vintage, Classic & Prestige Automobiles, Motorsport, Motorcycles, Spare Parts, Restoration and World Club Meeting is fully booked.

It will occupy the complete exhibition site at Messe Essen – in addition to 20 fair halls in total and the four outdoor sites, the Grugahalle, too, for the first time. 1,250 exhibitors from over 30 nations will give an overview of the range available on the global market for the connoisseurs of classic and vintage automobiles.

The constantly growing fan community can hardly wait for the doors to the most fascinating classic vehicle show in the world to open. On an exhibition area of 127,000 square metres, 2,500 classic and vintage automobiles will shine in their freshly polished condition and compete for the visitors’ favour.

The international specialised trade will offer prestige automobiles and collectors’ and connoisseurs’ vehicles in all price categories, from the affordable youngtimer to the automobile gem in a museum quality costing millions.

According to the experience in the previous years, well over half of the vehicles available for purchase will find new owners at the fair.

Vehicle Manufacturers Will Present Icons from the History of Automobile Construction.

Particular highlights will be offered by the automobile manufacturers which, with their lavish, informative and entertaining historic presentations, will put the spotlight on milestones of automobile development.

Around 25 manufacturers, including the major German and foreign automobile producers and exclusive makes, will use the stage of Techno-Classica in order to present icons of automobile construction.

On works booths which, in part, will encompass whole halls or hall areas, the manufacturers will present selected historic exhibits, partly in context with current vehicle innovations and premieres.

The represented manufacturers and makes will include, amongst others, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Autostadt Wolfsburg, BMW, Bentley, Bitter, Bugatti, Citroën, Ducati, Fiat, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Opel, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Scania, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Classic, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge and Volvo.

In Fair Hall 6 in the centre of Techno-Classica Essen, S.I.H.A. will serve up a treat from motorsport history. Around the ‘Palais de l’Automobile’, the ten most spectacular racing sports cars from the legendary Mille Miglia in 1955, probably the hardest road race after the Second World War, will conjure up genuine racing atmosphere.

The Internationally Most Comprehensive Range on Offer for the Classic Vehicle Sector

Spare parts dealers will open their treasure chests and make Techno-Classica a goldmine for everybody searching for parts. Highly qualified restorers will offer their services. Component supply businesses, car literature suppliers, accessories sellers, watch and technology dealers, artists and gallery owners, car model suppliers and publishing houses will complete the range on offer at the globally leading product show, know-how exchange and networking platform for the international classic vehicle sector.

In 2016, too, the British auction house Coys will, as a particular highlight, once again celebrate a spectacular auction with high-value collectors’ automobiles and, for the first time, will use the Grugahalle as the venue for this event.

220 classic vehicle clubs and interest associations will show their commitment with infectious enthusiasm and imaginative, often humorous ideas for eccentric booth design. Not only the clubs and the societies but also trade associations will use the fair for the eye-catching presentation of their programmes and activities. They will offer over 200 special shows within the large classic vehicle show and will ensure entertainment full of content.
